Clube VII, in Lisbon, bought by a group of Portuguese investors

Clube VII was sold to a group of two dozen investors who intend to invest 8 million to rehabilitate the Parque Eduardo VII sports center.

In a statement, the deal is disclosed, without identifying the investors or the value of the purchase. The Observer found that the purchase was made by 15 domestic investors, a group led by Diogo Lino, António Gellweiler and António Ribeiro da Cunha. Pacific Investments Management Limited was until now the owner of Club VII.

According to the same statement, the Lisbon City Council has already been informed of the transfer. The municipality is the grantor of the space.

“After this acquisition, the new shareholders of Clube VII intend to launch a project for the rehabilitation and development of the club, which will involve an investment of around eight million euros, until 2025, with regard to the renovation of the facilities, which It will allow the attraction of more members to the club”, they reveal in a statement. The new shareholders commit to making improvements inside and guarantee that they will give non-members access to paddle tennis, crossfit and a yoga area.

The architectural intervention will be carried out by Saraiva e Associados, opting for an exterior with sustainable materials and photovoltaic panels. Inside, the rehabilitation will also be carried out in terms of tennis and paddle tennis courts, and there will be a new restaurant space. In a statement, the new shareholders also say that the intervention aims to “attract more Portuguese partners and also serve an international community that sees high-quality facilities and services where it can simultaneously enjoy sports, health, leisure offers and entertainment”. .”

Clube VII, in Parque Eduardo VII, is located on a plot of about 10,000 square meters, with six tennis courts and seven paddle tennis courts, a gym, a 25-meter swimming pool, a restaurant, a cafeteria, a spa and a kids’ club.
