The Al-Sailiya Club of Qatar has agreed to continue the work of Syrian professional Mahmoud Al-Mawas with the Iraqi Police Club to end the crisis between the three parties.

The player signed a contract with Al Sailiya during the last winter transfers, but then decided not to leave the police club.

Al-Sailiya issued a statement on its official Twitter page, in which it confirmed: “Due to the sensitivity, appreciation and respect of the Al-Sailiya Club for the brotherly relationship between us and brothers in our second country, Iraq, for officials and fans of the Iraqi Police Club, and in gratitude to dear brother, His Excellency Adnan Darga.

Al-Mawas thanked the Al-Sailiya administration for letting him stay with the Iraqi league champions. The police and this matter demanded a bold decision that only a brave man like Al-Marri could have taken.”
