Qatari champion Mutaz Barshim reached the final of the 2022 Oregon World Championships in High Jump.

Barshim started qualifying by clearing the 2.17m hurdle on his first try and asked not to jump over the 2.21m hurdle and also jumped 2.25m and 2.28m respectively on his first try.

Barshim unmistakably led the qualifier along with South Korean trio Sanhyuk Wu, Canadian Django Lovett and Ukrainian Andriy Protsenko, who were with him in the Group A qualifier.

Barshim confirmed that the experience factor helped him a lot in qualifying for the final, noting that he felt some pressure to enter the qualification given that he is an Olympic champion and world champion in the last two events.
