French star Saint-Germain arrived in Japan on Sunday afternoon for a round of matches against three local teams, where new coach Christophe Galtier is looking to get off to a good start with the French giants .

Saint-Germain, which includes the incendiary trio of Kylian Mbappe, Brazilian Neymar and Argentinean Lionel Messi, will face Kawasaki Frontale, Urawa Reds and Gamba Osaka in their 10-day stay in Japan.
Galtier will manage Paris Saint-Germain for the first time since he arrived from Nice to replace Argentine Mauricio Pochettino in the summer. “We have three fights against very good opponents,” Galtier said at a press conference in Tokyo in front of a hundred journalists. “Japanese football is at a very high level, its players have great strategy and great speed. I hope these matches will be a good preparation for the Champions Cup in Tel Aviv (in the occupied Palestinian territories).
The Qatari administration of the Parisian club is facing widespread criticism from the Arab public as the club travels to the occupied Palestinian territories at the end of August next year to face French club Nantes in the French Champions Cup. These critical voices saw this issue emerge in the context of polishing the image of a Zionist entity committing crimes against Palestinians.
Saint Germain has 25 players in Japan and the team arrived at Tokyo’s Haneda airport just before noon.
