Olympiacos, owned by Pedro Martins, and Fenerbahçe, led by Jorge Jesus, tied this Tuesday in the first leg of the second round of access to the group stage of the Football Champions League, against Maccabi Haifa and Dynamo kyiv, respectively.
At the Sammy Ofer stadium in Haifa, the tangential victory in favor of the Greek shield seemed the safest outcome, but a late goal from striker Dolev Haziza (minute 90+2) spoiled the party for the visitorswho had scored in the first half, through the Dane Philip Zinckernagel, after seven minutes.
In the Piraeus team, the Portuguese midfielder João Carvalho saw the equalizer from the substitutes’ bench.
Later, Jorge Jesus made his debut in charge of the Turkish Fenerbahçe in official matches with a “null”in the Polish city of Lodz, home loaned by the Dynamo, before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
At Fenerbahçe, Portuguese international Bruma was an option during the second half, while Miguel Crespo did not leave the bench.
