Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will miss the Confederation of African Football (C) awards ceremony tonight in Rabat, Morocco.
And on the Liverpool page on Twitter, a video was published in which the players appeared on the way to the plane that was supposed to take them to Germany, in preparation for a friendly match with Leipzig, among which was Salah.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich’s Twitter account says: “Sadio Mane left for Morocco after being nominated for the African Player of the Year award.
It is noteworthy that Mane, before leaving the camp of his team in America, participated in a friendly victory over DC United with a score of 6: 2, where he scored the first goal.
For the African Player of the Year award, Mane is battling his former Liverpool colleague Mohamed Salah, as well as Senegalese goalkeeper Edward Mendy of Chelsea.
Mane won the latest African Player of the Year award in 2019, while Salah was named African Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons in 2017 and 2018.
