Whether or not LeBron James will stay with the Lakers has been one of the hottest topics of recent debate in the NBA. But Donald Trump asked another question: Should LeBron stay a man?
On Tuesday, the 45th and possibly 47th president told his supporters whether he would become a women’s basketball coach. Are you asking about your plan? Convince LeBron James to move on with a girl.
After telling viewers she could become “the greatest women’s basketball coach in history,” Trump revealed his strategy for the women’s super team.
“I don’t like LeBron James. I prefer Michael Jordan. But I’m going with LeBron James [and] “LeBron, have you ever had a desire to be a girl?” I would say. Because I want you to be the star of my team I created.
“I will be the greatest female basketball coach in history. I don’t like LeBron James, I prefer Michael Jordan. But I would go to LeBron James… Do you have a desire to be a woman? Because I want you to be the star of my team.” pic.twitter.com/xU5lt6hPeH

After publicly revealing how she would represent LeBron, there was talk of the nonstop wins she would follow if she switched to a woman and joined her team. By identifying herself as a woman, Trump moved on to the serious issue of the need to openly discuss the issue of men’s entry into women’s sports.
Trump has been a consistent advocate of women’s sports.
Citing University of Pennsylvania trans swimmer Leah Thomas, who continues to dominate women’s swimming after performing as outstandingly as she has for three years, Trump has vowed to ban trans athletes from women’s competitions if reelected.
“We will ban men from women’s sports,” Trump said at a rally in Conroe, Texas, in January. “Comic.”
On Tuesday, Leah Thomas was handed the NCAA Woman of the Year award. While this isn’t explicitly stated as a reason, she wants to believe it’s because she’s not a woman.
