Young British driver George Russell won the first pole of his Mercedes career after winning official tests against Ferrari at the Hungarian Grand Prix, the thirteenth round of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship season in a time of one minute and 17.377 seconds, beating the young Spaniard Carlos Sainz in the Scuderia, while his teammate Charles Leclerc finished third.
