In an interview with Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Friday, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) about the Republican Party beating the Democrats 10-0 in the annual convention baseball game.
“I think that’s a harbinger of what’s going to happen in November,” said Scalise, who predicts the Republicans will win a major victory in the upcoming midterms.
Host Sandra Smith asked Scalise about Rep. Linda Sanchez (R-CA), who seems to alienate her GOP colleagues by running a game.
Scalise said he did not know what prompted Sanchez’s display of poor sportsmanship, but that Democrats in general were “disappointed in their own right.” He suggested that they “finally got tired of what they were doing”.
“Has anything else been said? [Sanchez] when did he do it? ‘ asked Smith.
“I don’t know,” replied Scalise, “but look, they themselves failed. For a year and a half they did this to the American people, figuratively, with a terrible policy. You see inflation getting out of control, gas prices getting out of control – I think people are fed up with what they’ve been doing. Maybe they’ve finally done it and They’re fed up with what they’re doing to families in America.”
