The PSP arrested two fans who threw objects and injured police during the surveillance of the soccer match between Sporting de Braga and Celta de Vigo, played on Friday, that force announced on Monday.
In a statement, the PSP states that the detainees, aged 19 and 30, were notified to appear before the Judicial Court of the District of Braga.
A PSP source told Lusa that the incidents occurred before the match, when fans were on their way to Braga’s Estádio Municipal.
He added that three police officers were injured, one of whom had to be receive hospital treatment.
The two arrested are followers of Sporting de Braga.
At stake is the presentation match before his Sporting de Braga fans, in a match against the Spanish Celta de Vigo.
The match ended with the Minho club winning 2-1.
