After a special show at SummerSlam a few days ago, we reminisce about one of the greatest matches in SummerSlam history, the match between The Undertaker and Edge in the 2008 Hell in a Cell match.

Throughout 2008, the history of the feud between The Undertaker and Edge grew with each show, culminating in that year’s WrestleMania when The Undertaker sensationally defeated his rival.

Following this, Edge achieved a resounding victory over The Undertaker to take the two wrestlers to the showdown and showdown at SummerSlam that everyone in the WWE world has been waiting for.

Unlike what happened in the past, The Undertaker was clearly not the strongest in this fight, but the two wrestlers were equal in attack and defense in a duel that lasted about 27 minutes and was characterized by brutality and strength.

Perhaps the turning point in that match was when Edge sent his opponent out of the cage after a strong Safir move that ignited the flames of everyone watching the match.

But The Undertaker managed to get up, and then the two wrestlers exchanged control and each made several attempts to win, making strong and enthusiastic movements, but neither of them was able to establish the other.

In the end, it was The Undertaker who avoided another “spherical” move by Edge and hit his opponent with his famous “Tombstone” move to prove to him, declare his victory, and end the exciting hostility of that period.

After the match, The Undertaker hit his opponent again with a “chokehold” move, after which the ring caught fire and collapsed, thus sending Undertaker Blade to Hell.

In the weeks that followed, Edge completely disappeared from the scene to recover from the many injuries sustained from this historic match.
