Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed why he left the Nerazzurri for Chelsea last summer.

In an interview with DAZN, Lukaku said, “The first person to know about my return was Lautaro. He was the first person I spoke to, then DeMarco and Bastogne.”

He added: “The season I played for Chelsea gave me extra motivation to give my all. I have a lot of anger and also anger at the team that they didn’t win the title last season. Together in this We hope to do better this season and win trophies.”

He continued: “When I heard that there was an option to return to Inter, I didn’t say anything, but by the end of the season we had a good job with the club and I was able to return to Inter.

He continued: “After the season ended, I thought about my situation, I saw that as an Inter player I would play well, the season at Chelsea was difficult, and so I made the decision to come back here.”

And what has changed in the team since his departure to England, he concluded: “Everyone has the desire to win, every match is life or death, and I love it, we must be one team, we want to be competitive, and we know that together we can make a difference for the team.”
