Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has responded to accusations against him by the English Football Association following a spat with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

The quarrel between Conte and Tuchel broke out after the London derby match between Chelsea and Tottenham in the second round, which ended in a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The FA accused Conte and Tuchel of misconduct, condemned what happened after the match and gave them a deadline that expires today to respond before calling a penalty.

Conte spoke about this ahead of the Wolverhampton match and said: “I hope to be on the bench.”

“But I must definitely repeat: after such a situation, you can learn a lot,” he added.

He continued: “I hope that the sentence will be commuted, but we respect all decisions that will be made.”

He concluded, “I think I’ve had a lot of situations that I’ve handled well and kept calm, and I don’t overreact.”
