Carlos Duarte, a striker born in the Angolan city of Nova Lisboa, today Huambo, died this Tuesday at the age of 89 and left a beautiful legacy at the service of FC Porto”, announced the blue and white club in your place official this morning.

After having been one of the main references of the team led by Dorival Yustrich that quickly broke the championship and also won the Portuguese Cup in the 50s (in what would be the first double for the dragons in football), Carlos Duarte was one of the main highlights of the National Team together with Hernâni in May 1958, when Portugal played for the first time at Wembley with England and the striker scored the goal for the national team (1-2).
