On Tuesday, Magic Johnson tweeted that he denied an internet rumor that he had once donated blood.
On August 18, a photo of the NBA legend donating blood to help those affected by COVID was posted on his Twitter account.

But Johnson, who tested positive for HIV in 1991, says these reports are completely false.
“I’m aware of the false story going around the internet,” Johnson said, “and to be clear, I’ve never donated blood.”

Johnson briefly retired from football after being diagnosed, but returned to play in the 1992 All-Star Game and the 1995-1996 season.
