According to the health authority, as of Wednesday, 851 cases were reported in the SINAVEmed (National Epidemiological Surveillance System), most of which belong to the age group between 30 and 39 years (44%).
According to DGS data, 99.1% of infections were reported in men (843), with eight cases reported in women.
Regarding post-exposure vaccination, the DGS added that, since July 16, 500 close contacts have been vaccinated.
As for preventive vaccination for groups at higher risk of infection, the health authority said it began in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo and in the Center on Monday, while the other regions “are organizing and implementing the administration of vaccines this year.” . “.
