After a disappointing season marked by repeated injuries that saw him criticized for his weak physical condition, Anthony Davis wants to be the number one offensive weapon for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA again.

“I hope to stay in shape and do my best,” said the 29-year-old.

A few days before the start of the American League, he added: “I get goosebumps when I think about the new NBA season.”

He continued, “I want to focus on my fitness and avoid injury in order to be in full shape in the playoffs.”

He added: “I am excited to take on the next challenge. I think we’re going to see a completely different Lakers team than we did last year, and I can’t wait to prove it.”

He concluded by saying: “There is a big load on our shoulders and other teams will not give us anything easily. We have to achieve something on our own.”
