Devin Nunez, chief executive of the Truth Social app owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump, said the app will be available in a web browser by the end of May.

Nunes added in a message to (Truth Social) that the app has not yet been approved to launch in the Google Play store for devices running the Android operating system.

He wrote: “At the end of May, we will launch an internet browser that will allow access to the application from any device… and then we will launch an Android app… awaiting approval from Google!”

The presence of an app on Google Play and in the Apple Store is crucial to its ability to increase reach.

Trump Media and Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, was formed to counter big tech companies after Trump blocked Twitter, Facebook and YouTube for allegedly inciting or glorifying violence on Jan. 6. riots in the Capitol.

However, Trump’s adventures in the world of social media are limited by his reliance on Google and Apple, which operate app stores that dominate the smartphone market.
