The islands of the Central and Eastern groups of the Azores will be under a yellow warning until Saturday, due to the forecast of occasionally intense rains, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) revealed this Friday.
On the islands of the Central group (Terceira, São Jorge, Pico, Graciosa and Faial), the yellow notice It will take effect from 3:00 p.m. this Friday.extending until 03:00 on Saturday.
For the East group (Santa Maria and São Miguel), the yellow warning, due to forecasts of sometimes intense precipitation, will be in effect between 03:00 and 12:00 on Saturday.
The yellow warning, the least serious of a scale of three, is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
