Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Wednesday that he was inclined to support the Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will become president in 2024.
After claiming to vote for the Republicans for the first time, she helped Maira Flores get elected to Texas’ 34th congressional district and flip the Democratic-Republican seat for the first time in decades—she also announced she was considering a Republican nomination for president.
“I’m assuming a Republican would be the 2nd President?” someone asked.
Musk replied: “To confirm.”
A man asked him, “What are you leaning on?” when he asked. “DeSantis,” Musk replied.
Musk said he supports Andrew Young as president in 2020, but “De Santis has a better chance of winning.”
For the first time in my life I voted for Maira Flores when I voted Republican.
Big red wave in 2022.

Musk is weighing for the first time who he will specifically support for the presidency in 2024.
When asked why he preferred DeSantis over former President Donald Trump, who said he would run for reelection, Musk did not answer.
Musk said last month that he thinks Trump should be brought back on Twitter, but “I think it’s better to pick a less divisive candidate in 2024.”
Musk has been the target of Democrats’ anger since he offered to buy Twitter and improve the service for all users, including conservatives.
He has since criticized Twitter for not being transparent about how many bots there are in the app, and doubts whether Musk will agree to the purchase.
When someone on Twitter asked Musk “if this is the first time he’s received major hostility from top Democratic leaders (Biden, Sanders, AOC, Warren, etc.)” Musk replied, “Yes.”
