A knowledgeable source in the field of Russia’s military industry said that Russia could build a new “Varshavyanka” submarine group for its navy.
“Six new diesel-electric Varshavyanka type submarines will be built at Russian Admiralty shipyards and they will be allocated to the Army’s Northern Fleet,” a source told Russian TASS news agency.
