Netflix ‘Cheer’ star, Biden’s campaign successor, Jerry Harris, sentenced to 12 years in prison for child pornography

Netflix Joy Star and former Joe Biden presidential campaign attorney Jerry Harris have been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison on child pornography charges.

According to WIVB 4, Harris will have to register as a life-time sex offender and pay a $55,000 fine, adding that the former Netflix star faces eight years of supervised release following her prison sentence.
A few weeks before Harris became the focus of the FBI sexual harassment investigation, she chatted with Joe Biden on Instagram.

In 2020, Harris was arrested on child pornography charges after he was accused of forcing minors to have sex and forcing boys, about 14 years old, to send him phonographic pictures and videos.

The affidavit also stated that one of the minors reported having a “personal relationship” with Harris, and that the Netflix star “extorted oral sex” in the “bathroom” of the minor at a support group event.

Harris’ advocacy team told Nexstar WGN earlier this year that criminal behavior “occurs in the context of the competitive community where Cheer sexual abuse and child sexual abuse are very common and very often noticed.”

“Jerry himself, as a child of the Cheer community, was abused, manipulated, and sexually abused in a way that led him to believe that this sexual behavior was somehow normal even though it wasn’t normal,” the defense team wrote.
