Archaeologists have begun excavating an old tomb with legends associated with King Arthur, hoping to discover the secrets of this magical place.
This tomb, which is 3,500 years older than the date of birth of the legendary British ruler, is reported to be about 5,000 years old, as there is still no confirmation about King Arthur about the legends of the Middle Ages.
Arthur Stone, an ancient cemetery from the Neolithic Age, has not been examined by scientists and has not been excavated before.
In a similar cemetery nearby, archaeologists found the skeletons of several people with earth containers, arrow ends and flagged pieces. For this reason, scientists hope to find similar objects in Arthur’s tomb, where only boulders are left for an interior room surrounded by piles of earth and pebbles. So the original shape and size of the tomb are still secret. This room consists of nine vertical stones and has a giant stone weighing 25 tons.
According to legend, King Arthur in this place killed the giant, who built a pit in one of the rocks.
It should be noted that the excavations and excavations were controlled by researchers from the universities of Manchester and Cardiff.
