With a length of 262 meters, a width of 62 meters and a displacement of 39,000 tons, this aircraft can accelerate to 28 knots, carry a crew of 1,645 and carry 36 to 40 warplanes. Russian MiG-29K fighters, as well as helicopters.

The ship is armed with four 76 mm artillery systems designed by Italian Leonardo, launchers for Barak-1 and Barak-8 anti-aircraft missiles, and Russian AK-630 anti-aircraft systems.
