‘Them/Them’ director: ‘It shows how heroic and extraordinarily unique people can be’

“I think that shows how heroic and wonderful queer people are,” he said at the premiere of the film at Outfest in Los Angeles. “And the fact that we are stronger as a people and a nation because of our diversity.”

Bacon described the film’s young characters as “tomorrow”.

“Sometimes it’s hard to find hope these days, but we still have to hope,” she told ET Canada at its premiere. “All we can hope for is future youth like the people in this movie.”
