A massive forest fire consumed at least 350 hectares in the city of Aubaisin southern France, and injured six firefighters, one of them in serious condition, local authorities said Monday.

The fire also caused the partial closure of the A9 motorway, which connects Montpellier and Nimes, which has already been reopened.
Some 500 firefighters are battling the flames. and were supported by seven aircraft, five Canadair and two Dash.
