Wake up, Apple will try again to force employees to return to the office after being cited as racist in the last attempt

Apple will try to bring its employees back to the office after more than a year of fruitless attempts. This time, the company has set a September 5 deadline for corporate employees who are in the office at least three days a week. When an awakened giant tried to bring his employees back to office, it was labeled as a racist attempt.

According to a Bloomberg News report, Apple said its corporate employees will now work from the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and then the third day of the week, which will be determined by individual teams.

The company’s original plan was for corporate employees to return to the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but that goal was not met.

In May, Apple was labeled racist for such a request, as a group of Apple employees calling themselves “Apple Together” denounced the company’s decision to bring employees back into the office. younger, whiter” and dominated by men.

The group’s letter was partially read:

Apple will likely always find people who want to work here, but our current policy of requiring everyone to move into their team’s office and be in the office at least 3 fixed days a week will change the nature of our company. labor. It will make Apple younger, whiter, more masculine, more neuronormative, more approachable, in other words, it will lead to the privilege of deciding who can work at Apple, not who is the best fit.

Privileges such as “born in the right place to avoid having to move” or “being young enough to start a new life in a new city/country” or “having a household to move to”. and being born in a society where society doesn’t expect many jobs from nursing, so it’s easy to leave the office for a day without doing your share of free social work. Or being rich enough to pay others for the effort to take care of you.

The technology giant, which has been trying to return its employees to the office since June 2021, is preparing to try again and even stops wearing mandatory masks in the common areas of its offices.

Only time will tell if Apple has succeeded in its latest attempt to return to a traditional work environment.
