Monterey Car Week, which takes place near one of the most famous golf courses on the planet, in Pebble Beach, annually brings together the best cars on the market, in terms of power, design, exclusivity and… price. Many classic models also flock to the site, where one of the most coveted auctions for collectors of historic vehicles takes place. This was the setting chosen by Bentley to present… a bottle of whiskey.
The delicious nectar is produced by the Macallan Estate, a Scottish distillery with which Bentley has partnered in the past. According to the two partners, the bottle is the big news, as it is produced from recycled materials and “concentrates a joint ambition to build a sustainable future based on the rich history of the two brands.”
Called the Macallan Horizon, this new whiskey it’s a malt, protected in a handmade glass bottle. The look is reminiscent of a sculpture that elegantly wraps around the glass container, the lid of which is reminiscent of Bentley rotary selectors.
Also new is the natural position of the bottle, horizontally, hence the name of the bottle. whiskey – with the Macallan Horizon scheduled to hit the market in the summer of 2023. The price? It has not been announced yet, but it certainly should not fall into the bargain category, judging by the exclusivity of the bottle and the complexity of the liquid that the producer is still preparing.
