The new Type R which, according to the Portuguese importer, will arrive in Europe (and our country) only at the beginning of 2023, continues to have a considerable legion of fans. Proof of this is that, a few hours after the world premiere of the model, all available units of the sports car had already been sold. This even without most of the technical specifications of the model being known.
A Honda Civic that’s too bad it’s just a hybrid
Based on the new Civic that we have already told you about in the “normal” version, the 184 hp e:HEV hybrid, the new Type R should be longer, with a wider wheelbase and with a wider track at the rear, that is, if you keep the e:HEV arguments. The engine will be an evolution of the previous generation, a four-cylinder with a displacement of two liters, benefiting from some improvements, especially regarding the turbocharger, with the aim of increase power from previous 320 hp to 330 hp. What this difference will make, which will also be accompanied by a gain in torque, for acceleration and top speed, will be announced shortly.
