Naval News announced that the Chinese Navy has begun operating a new military helicopter carrier.
According to the site’s information, “A post on the Chinese social network Weibo posted a photo of a Type-075 ship number 33 here, with Chinese Navy flags flying above it.”
The site states that the first ship of the Type-075 class will officially enter service for the Chinese Navy in April 2021, and the second ship of this type will officially join the Chinese army in December 2021, and the third ship will launched in December 2021. Sea trials began in January last year, and in November of the same year.
Chinese media previously said that China plans to buy 8 ships of the aforementioned category, and each ship will have a water displacement of 30,000 tons and be able to carry 28 helicopters, as well as armed with 30 mm H/PJ-11 . machine guns and HHQ-10 air defense missiles.
