Although Skoda recently announced that it would take responsibility for developing Volkswagen Group’s refreshed small combustion engines, its focus remains on 100% electric vehicles. And, to prove it, it announces the launch of six new battery-powered models that will hit the market between 2024 and 2026.
Two of the six models will be the renewed Enyaq and Enyaq Coupéboth about 4.65 m long, the two versions of the brand’s SUV that will have a remodeling in 2025. But the curiosity of potential customers will focus on the other four models.for now called Small, Compact, Combi and Space.
Skoda Vision 7S. SUV brings new style and 600 km of autonomy
The Small is the model that most customers will be waiting for, as it promises to be Skoda’s cheapest tram, expected to be offered for around €25,000. The bodywork will adopt an SUV-style shape, but with a length of just 4.1 meters, similar to the Cupra UrbanRebel, a small and urban model with dimensions close to the Fabia, but somewhat taller and with a more radical SUV appearance, which will be will deliver to customers in 2025.

The six electric innovations from Skoda that are on the way
The Skoda Compact will arrive a year earlier, in 2024, and will adopt the name Elroq. The forms will be those of an SUV, with a total length of 4.5 meters, which positions it with dimensions close to the VW ID.4 and the Cupra Tavascan. In the range of the Czech brand, The new Elroq will be the successor to the Karoq (4.39 m), but now 100% electric. If the Pequeño promises to be the most important tram for countries like ours, the Compact will be the ideal weapon to compete in the main countries of the European market.
The Space will be the new top of the range of the brand, an SUV with a massive and bulky appearance, which should not differ much from the Vision 75 prototype. The generous dimensions will allow Space to assemble three rows of seats and seven seats, in a model that is scheduled to go on the market in 2026 and with the new stylistic language that the manufacturer calls Modern Solid.
The fourth and last electric vehicle that Skoda has in preparation is currently known as Combi, a name that in the Czech brand is associated with vans. The future model, which will be one of the last to arrive, only in 2026, will be 4.7 m long, 16 cm less than the current Superb van with combustion engines. But it is very possible that, based on a specific platform for electric vehicles, which allows it to adopt a shorter front, the future battery-powered Combi can offer a cabin and a trunk at the level of the Superb van, despite the narrower track width. . .
From the information revealed by Skoda, it is possible to verify that if 2024, 2025 and 2026 will live on battery news, in 2023 the new models will be essentially redesigns current models with combustion engine. This is how the renewed Kamiq, Scala, Kodiaq and Superb are expected, both in a five-door saloon version and as a Combi van, and these models are expected to continue in production until the brand abandons mechanics that consume fossil fuels. .
