MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough tripled his claim Wednesday that if protesters in the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, were black or Muslim, they would put up more resistance to police.
Scarborough argued that if the protesters were Muslim and not nearly white, the police would “shoot them all”. He said he had “no doubt” that they were allowed to gather “because they were white”.
“Most of the people you see in these videos are white,” Scarborough said. “I said it was the next day – if it’s black protesters, you better believe the police are there soon. If there were Muslims there, policemen with rifles would be standing on the roofs of the houses and they would all be shot. So, without a doubt. I have no doubt that these people are allowed to sit there with Confederate flags, Trump flags, and desecrate the cross of Jesus Christ just because they are white. Very simple. Very simple. “
“And it continued for hours before law enforcement did anything to protect the Capitol police, who were mistreated and beaten to death.”
