NewsBusters, a conservative media watchdog, reported on Tuesday that at last night’s Emmy Awards, Hollywood stars fired several shots at former President Donald Trump and completely ignored current President Joe Biden.

Trump’s quirks at the awards ceremony weren’t even original and were a bit boring compared to previous shows. They also declined to give his name.
…That’s why some jokes are being made about Trump. It’s safe to say that no one was really surprised by this, but it’s surprising that there were no jokes or bullies directed at President Joe Biden. In fact, his name was not even mentioned. More than one!
If you’ve watched the show and don’t know anything about American politics, you wouldn’t know that he was president.

Hollywood has avoided making fun of the incumbent in recent years since President Barack Obama took office, choosing instead to mock Republicans like Trump (long before he ran for president) or opposition figures like Rush. .
In 2009, when comedian Wanda Sykes hosted a dinner for White House reporters and used her time to attack Limbaugh instead of making fun of the president as in previous administrations, the late Christopher Hitchens joked: “The president must be writhing in his seat. . Not to smile.”
But it was Hitchens who didn’t understand the new rules: Democrats were denied access; Republicans are the only viable target.
