Syrian Ambassador to Belarus Muhammad Al-Amrani and Chairman of the Council of the Republic in the National Assembly of Belarus Natalia Kachanova reviewed all aspects of Syrian-Belarusian relations, including parliamentary relations.

The parties confirmed “the desire and interest of the two friendly countries to move forward in strengthening and developing these historical relations, in the light of the difficult geopolitical situation that has developed in the world today and in the face of pressure, sanctions and attempts at external interference.” in the internal affairs of the two countries and on the basis of the factors of trust and partnership that bind both countries and two friendly peoples.”

Al-Omrani expressed “deep gratitude to Syria for the position of Belarus in solidarity with Syria in the face of what it has been and continues to be subjected to in the form of terrorism, sanctions and unjust unilateral measures, as well as Belarus’ gratitude for the humanitarian assistance.” and initiatives regarding Syria, while emphasizing that Syria supports Belarus in the face of attempts by external interference in its internal affairs and rejects the sanctions and measures imposed on it.”

For her part, the President of the Council of the Republic pointed out that “Syria has always been and remains a reliable partner of Belarus in the Middle East, and this is due to the great interaction between the two countries and good relations between them over the past years, whether at the level of two presidents or at the level of two friendly peoples, emphasizing the importance of continuing to strengthen these relations and the implementation of numerous agreements between the two countries, expressing the readiness and openness of Belarus to cooperate with Syria in all areas.
