US President Joe Biden said that more information about the security interests of Sweden and Finland would be coming soon.

“I will not go into details of my personal conversations with the presidents of Sweden and Finland, except that we had a good conversation and they expressed their interest and wishes regarding security, and there will be more to announce,” he said.

Earlier today, the White House confirmed in a talks statement that Biden stressed the United States’ support for NATO’s open door policy and the right of each country to decide whether to join the military alliance.
The statement added that the three leaders reaffirmed their joint commitment to continue coordinating military and other support for Ukraine.

For his part, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan pointed out that his country could not be sympathetic towards Finland or Sweden for the accession of Finland or Sweden to NATO, and pointed to Turkey’s dissatisfaction with Greece’s participation in NATO military operations since 1980, describing this step as a mistake that should not be made.
