The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the “brutal attack carried out by the occupying police and its forces on the coffin of the martyr Shirin Abu Akle and the citizens who carry it”, calling the attack “organized state terrorism, which not only executed the martyr in cold blood, but rather persecuted her body, until they buried her,” and that Israel is a democratic state. The only one who is afraid of a coffin in her arms.
In turn, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed “Egypt’s complete rejection and strong condemnation of the attacks by the Israeli authorities on the funeral of the late Sherin Abu Akle.”

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said it “strongly condemns the Israeli police’s failure to allow the removal of Shirin Abu Akila’s body from the hospital and the suppression of the funeral procession,” stressing that “the occupying authorities were not satisfied with Shirin’s cold-blooded murder, but continued to terrorize civilians and participants funeral.”

The European Union expressed dissatisfaction with the useless use of force by Israeli forces during the funeral. The European Union Delegation to the Palestinians said: “We are unhappy with the violence on the campus of St. Joseph’s Hospital and at the level of the useless violence practiced by the Israeli police during funeral ceremonies.” “This is unequal behavior that will ignite tensions,” she added.
Reporters Without Borders stressed that “Israeli forces’ attacks on the funeral of Abu Akleh are reprehensible, shocking and unacceptable, demanding an immediate international investigation into the circumstances of her death.”
For his part, British MP Sam Tarry said: “Israel was not satisfied with the killing of Abu Akle, but rather shocked its mourners with a gruesome scene and stressed the importance of holding Israel accountable.”
