The official said South Korean President Yun Seok-yeol offered to send vaccines to the North after Pyongyang acknowledged that the virus first broke out in the country on Thursday.

North Korea has claimed no coronavirus for more than two years, then reported the first case of the virus on Thursday, saying the country has declared a “severe emergency” anti-virus system in the area.
