The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that “Israeli aggression” targeted the Golan Heights and parts of the southern part of the capital Damascus, killing three people and causing material damage.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed in a report that horrific explosions had been heard in the capital, Damascus and its suburbs, adding that the “explosions” were caused by Israeli bombings targeting Iranian groups.
Most of the missiles hit targets in the Jamraya area on the outskirts of Damascus, near Damascus International Airport, amid declining levels of the Syrian regime’s air defenses, the watchdog said.
“This is the thirteenth target that Israel has fired on Syrian territory since the beginning of this year,” he said.
Syrian media reported that airstrikes countered “hostile targets” in the skies on the outskirts of Damascus.
Since 2011, Syria has witnessed a bloody conflict that has killed about half a million people, caused extensive damage to infrastructure and manufacturing sectors, and led to the displacement and displacement of millions of people inside and outside the country.
