British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said he was not considering resigning, despite being fined for violating quarantine laws during his tenure as chancellor.
Saying he will continue to perform his duties “with the strength and dynamism I have always had for this job”, Sunak is currently leading British efforts to alleviate the economic crisis.
“I am fully committed to tackling this crisis in the challenging months ahead and building a brighter future for the people I am honored to represent.”
Against the background of the “Party Door” scandal, it was reported that between May 2020 and April 2021, police imposed a total of 126 fines on 83 people and 83 fines for non -compliance with the closure system and restrictions in Corona. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has been fined multiple times, 53 men and 73 women, was only fined by one man for his birthday party held on Downing Street on 19 June 2020.
Johnson became the first prime minister in British history to be fined while in office.
