The Iraqi Intelligence Agency stated that “as part of a series of achievements made by the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency under the Ministry of the Interior in terms of combating terrorism and prosecuting the remnants of ISIS gangs, the heroes of the agency have been conducting separate high-quality operations based on accurate intelligence information in the capital.” Baghdad led to the arrest of 14 terrorists, including prominent leaders.

And the statement stated that “the heroes of the Intelligence Directorate began to conduct pre-emptive operations, which used technical methods to track the necessary targets and ambushes, until they were arrested in separate operations in areas controlled by Taji, Al. – control of Shaab, control of Khor Rajab, Qasaib in the Al-Madain area, Al-Arifiya on the Diyala bridge, Abu Ghraib, Al-Ghazaliya, Al-Dora and control of Baghdad and Wasit. She pointed out that the effort “led to great success as the required targets included prominent leaders: Abu Safana, Abu Omar and Abu Musab (a member of the General Equipment Directorate) after luring and ambushing them.”
