Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that Russian experts will travel to Turkey on Monday for talks aimed at finding ways to export grain from Ukraine.
Lavrov said in a video conference:
The experts are going to Turkey today. Tomorrow my delegation will also go there. And I hope that we will be able to explore in detail the options mentioned by the (Russian) president, it is only up to those who will force Ukraine to remove mines from its ports, and also remove barriers to delivery. Insurance and maintenance of ships carrying grain and other food products to ports in Europe and from there to ports in developing countries.
Lavrov rejected attempts to solve the problem of grain exports from Ukrainian ports using a UN Security Council resolution, describing these attempts as “old games”, adding that “ Everyone knows that this (solution) only requires one thing.
