Mexican army raids three Sinaloa drug labs

Mexican authorities dismantled three secret laboratories and confiscated chemicals used in the manufacture of synthetic drugs for the Sinaloa cartel. However, there were no local arrests.

This week, in a two-day operation, the Mexican military and state officials raided three secret drug labs in Sinaloa.

According to information provided to Breitbart Texas by the Mexican Army, the raids were part of the federal government’s efforts to crack down on gangs and cells linked to the Sinaloa cartel. The makeshift laboratories are hidden in the countryside.

The first attack took place near the town of Soyatita, near Sinaloa’s municipality of Badiraguato. There, authorities confiscated about 34 plastic jars of unknown chemicals, 220 pounds of anhydrous calcium chloride, two 55-gallon drums labeled “benzyl alcohol,” and equipment and materials used in the manufacture of drugs.

Just 48 hours later, the army raided the second laboratory between the towns of Calafato and Ipucha in Kosala municipality. There, authorities confiscated 793 kilos of methamphetamine, natural gas cylinders, barrels of unknown chemicals, two cars, and other drug preparation equipment.

The third pharmaceutical laboratory is located near the city of Chirimole, near the municipality of Elot. There, authorities confiscated natural gas tanks, storage barrels, and other methamphetamine preparation equipment.
