At least one person was killed and two others injured when a Chinese military plane crashed in a residential area during a regular exercise in central China’s Hubei province on Thursday, the state-owned China Global Television Network (CGTN) said.
A J-7 fighter jet of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLA) crashed during the exercise in Laohekou city, Hubei Province on the morning of June 9 and destroyed several residential buildings.
“The pilot parachuted out of the plane and was taken to the hospital for examination and treatment, along with the two injured citizens,” military channel China Central Television (CCTV) said.
