Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that “the delivery of the second Iranian-made oil tanker to Venezuela is evidence of Iran’s high capabilities in the field of exporting technical and engineering services to the world and proof of the effectiveness of the country’s economic policy of resistance.”

Raisi noted that “the construction and delivery of the tanker, approved by the Venezuelan engineering and technical group, will help the Venezuelan government achieve its goal of maritime independence and prove once again that the will and unity of revolutionary countries is very important.” stronger and more effective than the American embargo.”

He pointed out that “Tehran and Caracas, as two complementary economies, will be able to move towards the prosperity and development of the Iranian and Venezuelan peoples, completing and linking economic relations in both countries.”

He added that “this kind of joint cooperation proves to everyone that developing and independent countries can achieve great success through cooperation and interaction among themselves.”

He explained that “two more oil tankers are under construction and I hope they will be ready for shipment to Venezuela in the near future.”

For his part, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stated that “the construction of a tanker for the state oil company of Venezuela was a plan devised by the late President Hugo Chávez to strengthen the oil industry of our country, to make it self-sufficient in the face of all the aggressions and conspiracies of enemies.”

He pointed out that “this modern Iranian tanker has impressive and high industrial capabilities, and Iran is one of the developing powers in the 21st century, considering the construction of this ship as a clear indication of the high potential of this country.”
