The New York Times announced countries resisting U.S. requests for an alliance against Russia

The American newspaper “New York Times” said that many countries in Asia, Africa and South America are maintaining relations with Russia and resisting US calls to join the alliance against Moscow.

According to newspaper analysts, US President Joe Biden continues to try to persuade neutral countries, including India, Brazil, Israel and the Gulf Arab states, to impose sanctions on the Russian side, applying diplomatic pressure on side of Russia and provide military assistance to Ukraine. .

The newspaper noted that although they have partnered with the United States on other important security issues, almost none of them have expressed a desire to do so.

According to the article, “U.S. officials recognize the difficulty of trying to persuade other countries to align their interests with the American and European desire to isolate Russia.”

Analysts of the article believe that the ruble has recovered, as Russia maintains trade relations with the BRICS countries, Venezuela and Thailand.

The newspaper noted that China condemned Washington’s attempts to expand the alliance, which includes European countries as well as Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
