Chairman of the Committee of Senior Officials of the Arctic Council Nikolai Korchunov confirmed that the “Snezhinka” project in the Arctic will be implemented unilaterally by Russia, regardless of the participation of foreign partners.
“Our participation of Arctic Council member states has been suspended, but the work planned by the Russian side (Snezhinka) on the project is continuing,” Korchunov said in a press release today. Sabi.
“The concept and content of the project is the result of Russia’s intellectual contribution. Therefore, regardless of whether foreign partners participate or not, the project will be implemented according to the plan laid down from the beginning by Russian organizations. ” explained.
In his opinion, the International Arctic Station “Snezhinka” should be a fully autonomous complex operating on the basis of renewable energy and hydrogen.
The station will consist of several dome -shaped buildings connected by walkways, the general location of the buildings resembles a snowflake from above, hence the station project got its name.
