The Chief of Staff of the British Armed Forces, Admiral Tony Radakin, pointed out that “Russian President Vladimir Putin used 25% of his army strength to achieve small successes on the ground”, stressing that “any claims that this is a success for Russia” make no sense “Russia is losing. It may have some tactical gains in the coming weeks, but it has already lost strategically.”

In an interview with the press, he emphasized that “NATO is stronger”, indicating in this context that Finland and Sweden are striving to join it. And he believed that Russia “will never control Ukraine,” noting that “about four months after the start of the Russian invasion, the Russian army will soon be short of men and modern missiles.”

Radakin stressed that “it’s hard for Ukraine. It will be a long battle,” recalling Britain’s support for Kyiv. “We are providing anti-tank weapons and there are other items that we are providing and this will continue,” he explained.
