The source pointed out that “recently there has been a fundamental development in the area of ​​efforts to restore relations, represented by the agreement of the two sides to resume direct channels of communication and engage in serious and constructive dialogues in preparation for a gradual restoration.” relations”, noting that “the strenuous efforts undertaken by Hezbollah in recent months as a mediator between the two parties resulted in the fact that “it has been given the green light to take practical steps in order to convey the views of the Syrian regime and the Palestinian movement nearer”.

The source stressed that the Hamas leadership is not opposed to “melting the ice between it and the Syrian regime” based on “the movement’s desire to maintain a balanced relationship with all Arab parties in a way that serves the cause of Palestine.”
