The United Nations said on Tuesday that Russia’s offensive has killed thousands and displaced more than 6.2 million people inside Ukraine after fleeing their homes.
Additionally, 5.26 million people have fled Ukraine and registered as refugees in other European countries since the war began on February 24.
Last Tuesday, the governor of Ukraine’s Poltava region, Dmytro Lunin, said at least 13 people were killed and 50 injured when two Russian missiles hit a busy shopping center in the center of the city of Kremenchug.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 1,000 people were inside the mall at the time of the attack.
He did not provide details of the victims, but he said on the Telegram application: It is impossible to even imagine the number of victims. He added: It is futile to hope for Russia’s commitment to decency and humanity.
