According to Sputnik and Syrian media, several explosions occurred in the Al-Omar oil field in the east of Deir Ezzor province in northeastern Syria, which is under the control of American forces.

Russian sources told Sputnik news agency that the Al-Omar oil field base, which is used by American forces as a military base in the outskirts of Deir Ezzor, was attacked by a missile around midnight. Unknown source that led to the fire.
Sources confirmed: “Flames and smoke rose from the square, and after that, the American army was faced with the firing of light bombs over the area, the sound of heavy machine guns and the intense flight of American military and reconnaissance planes over the villages and towns around this square. “
The sources said pro-American SDF militias began deploying reinforcements to towns around the square as soon as explosions rocked the area.
Earlier, the American base in Al-Omar square was targeted by rocket attacks. Al-Omar oil field is the largest oil field in Syria in terms of area and production and is located on the east bank of the Euphrates River.
